  1. How long do transfers take?

    1. Transfers from the business to staff members are instant and should appear in your connected bank account immediately.

      1. These are ‘Checkouts’ being paid based on reports pulled from the POS, or calculations made based on pool settings for distribution. 

        1. Individual banking institutions may have protocols that delay the release of funds.


  1. What fees can we expect to see as a business and/or as the user?

    1. Each business owner will be charged $100/ month for using DishOut Services.

    2. Transfer fees are a flat $1.00 for instant processing

      1. Fees may be absorbed by the business or by the user or a combination of both. 

        1. Each business will have the option of determining how the $1.00 fee is assessed. 


  1. What if I don’t have a debit card?

    1. At this time, a debit card is required to use DishOut.

    2. If you don’t have a debit card

      1. Open a new bank account with any major banking institution that supplies debit cards.

        1. Prepaid debit cards are not supported. 

      2. You can opt to use DishOut as a ‘Report Only’ user. 

        1. This will require communicating with your manager


  1. How does the app track my transfers/activity?

    1. DishOut allows you to review all activity using the DishOut App

      1. ‘Activity’’ is the menu tab located in the middle of the bottom of the app’s main page.- this provides a full list of all checkouts and their statuses.

      2. ‘Checkouts’ is a menu tab located to the bottom right of the app’s main page - this allows the review of each transaction which includes the date, and the total tips. When you click on a specific date or transaction you are routed to the details of that checkout, which breaks down into Food, Alcohol, Tip Amount, Net Sales, and Gross Sales.

 

  1. Can transactions be reversed/canceled?

    1. No, transactions cannot be reversed or canceled. If money is sent accidentally, we recommend contacting the recipient directly to determine next steps. 


  1. How quickly do I get tipped out?

    1. All checkouts can be processed on a daily basis, after the POS conducts its “close out”. Tips owed can be pulled directly from the POS and uploaded into the administrative portal. The tips remain as pending until approved by management or ownership.

      1. Distribution timelines are determined by the business location.

      2. DishOut does not approve or distribute tips to users.


  1. Can I request my tips from co-workers?

    1. At this time you cannot make requests for tips from co-workers.


  1. How is my information protected or secured?

    1. DishOut’s information security program is designed to meet or exceed industry standards, and we use many different controls to keep your personal information safe. Plaid is certified in internationally-recognized security standards, like ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and is SSAE18 SOC 2 compliant.

      1. Secondarily, Astra is used to process in-app transactions, this system verifies each user, and their banking information prior to allowing access to all app features.

  2. My transfer hasn’t gone through yet, what happened?

    1. Is your DishOut profile completed?

      1. Has your business invited you to join their location?

      2. Have you created your account credentials?

      3. Have you verified your account with Astra?

      4. Is your profile set up as “Report Only”?

    2. Next - is your debit card added to your profile?

      1. If yes, have you recently reported the card lost or stolen? Could the account be closed or frozen? 

        1. Contacting the card issuer may be required to resolve any of the above issues

      2. If not, you must connect your debit card to your profile to receive funds from your business. 




  1. Can I connect multiple debit cards?

    1. No, not at this time, each user is limited to one debit card.


  1. What if I don’t want to use the app for my tips?

    1. Each business will individually determine how to provide tips to staff members who opt out of participation.
